Radiodiagnostics
The
employees of the American-Russian Dental Center Moscow make an
extensive use of contemporary technologies and state-of-the-art
diagnostic equipment. Any dentist would tell you that no dental
treatment can spare the initial diagnostic stage.
The most common and time-saving diagnostic approach is using panoramic imaging (X-ray imaging). Having obtained a panoramic film, the ARDC Moscow dentist will make a diagnosis. Apart from this, a radiovisiograph is employed to control the results of root canal filling procedures. Furthermore, we are able to identify caries at early stages and prevent its progression. This type of diagnostics requires professional equipment that is at our disposal, an orthopantomograph and a radiovisiograph.
Only specially trained personnel are allowed to operate both the
orthopantomograph and the radiovisiograph. The panoramic imaging
procedure is absolutely harmless to the patient, since it utilizes only
minimal levels of radiation. Orthopantomography differs from
radiovisiography in that the former of these is a sort of X-ray imaging
(it allows to obtain films of the teeth, jaw joints, and nasal
cavities, as well as images of entire dentitions in both children and
adults), while the other one utilizes a kind of digital
radiodiagnostics equipment.
Radiovisiography images are recorded on a specific matrix that is
highly sensitive to X-rays. The obtained image (panoramic image) is
transferred to the computer screen and can then be printed out on
paper. When a radiovisiograph is used, the radiation exposure of both
the physician and the patient is many times as lower. We reproduce a
quality panoramic image and, based on it, continue with the treatment.
Still, the high standards of the diagnostic procedures do not translate into soaring prices. The ARDC dental clinic always offers reasonable prices on all types of services. The staff of the ARDC Moscow have won and maintain with their work the trust and love of their patients.
